Photo of the Week: Five portraits of majesty

My longest lens is a 200mm. Thats not all that far compared to what many people use for animals, birds and sports. That all these shots are uncropped, and I was able to fill the frame completely should tell you just how incredibly close we were able to get to these incredible lions.

I’m not sure I’d every really lived until I had a lion stare me straight in the eyes and lick his lips. But know this, if it was my time that would have been exactly how I’d want to go.

Guernsey is in my blood and it will always be home, but my home is just one tiny part of a huge, diverse and fascinating world. A world of which I dream of experiencing as much as I can. Stories are also in my blood and this is where I share mine. Here I hope to share a little of my experience of the world through the photographs I take either on my travels or simply as part of day-to-day island life.
